When a pyramidal scheme is organized and managed by private individuals, they go to jail (Hopefully. Or maybe not. Anybody heard of Banif's open ended real estate funds?).
But when it is the State, like Social Security, nothing happens. This is the danger of what we are seeing. The wolves will be taking care of the sheep.
The role of the State as regulator, inspector and also main player will be a disaster, even bigger than the one we already got ourselves into.
